William Farrett DPM Podiatric Phys.
I am currently entering my third year of residency training at Presbyterian/St Luke's Medical Center in Denver.
I graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine in 1995 with several honors.
In 1991, I received my BA cum laude from New York University.
I am recently married to my wife Rachel.
I have been a runner competitively for over ten years and run with Rachel quite often. I also enjoy skiing, snowshoeing, and mountain biking.
Podiatric Physician
A Podiatrist is a physician who specializes in the foot and ankle. Quite often a podiatrist has earned a Bachelors diploma. He or she then completes four years of professional schooling to attain the degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine.
A residency program is recommended after podiatric medical school training. The residencies are variable. I have completed two years of a three year surgical training program. In this program, I have been trained to perform limb salvage surgical procedures as well as many elective surgeries such as removal of neuromas and bunions.
In addition, I am well published regarding biomechanics which is especially important when constructing orthotic devices which are custom made shoe inserts.
