About Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a different system of medicine developed over 200 years ago to take into account the whole person and their complete symptom picture, rather than disease names and one-size-fits-all treatment. Based on Like Cures Like, an idea espoused by Paracelsus, homeopathic counseling begins with a very detailed and personal interview. The purpose of this interview is to get a complete and balanced view of the individual to better understand how this person’s ailments affect them. From information gained in this interview, the counselor selects a remedy that will be the best match for the patient. The remedies used are highly diluted and taken sparingly, one at a time. The goal is to use the least amount of remedy that will have the most beneficial effect. A correctly selected remedy will support the individuals’ own system in such a way that vitality and well-being increase and homeostatic balance returns with increased strength to dispel dis-ease and illness.
Personal
Sherill is a Certified Homeopathic Counselor registered with the Society of Homeopaths, North America. She counsels people in the classical style of this centuries old medical system. Her continuing study of Homeopathy began over 10 years ago at the Colorado Institute of Classical Homeopathy, now in Boulder, CO. Her education is ongoing and continues with advanced course work with such masters as Louis Klein of Luminos Homeopathy Courses and Jeremy Sherr of the Dynamis School, seminars, conferences, provings and self-study to stay current with new research and trends within the homeopathic community. Sherill has been a researcher for Kent Homeopathic Associates, creators and sellers of premier homeopathic software. She holds a BA in Counseling Psychology, has worked in the mental health field for over 20 years, is married and has a teen-aged daughter.
